I’m pretty disappointed that Arctic has discontinued their passive S3 cooler instead of updating for modern cards. I’m not sure if it would be up to the task given the increasing power loads (I’ve used its predecessors on some decently powerful stuff) , but even if it needed fans, slapping on a big, slow fan or two would probably get the job done all but the hottest cards.
I really don’t trust video card makers fan choices (though the triple fan setup on my ASUS 1070 has been decently quiet)
